As a complementary report to the Ω32-UVCE report on unconfined explosions, it focuses on gas and vapor explosions. The particularities of confined dust explosions and hybrid mixtures explosions are only briefly addressed.This document is structured on 3 chapters that present:Lessons learnt from significant accidents that illustrate the sequence of a confined explosion,the necessary conditions for a confined explosion to occur, the main parameters that influence the main parameters that influenceing on the environment,a synthesis of the main methods available to estimate the overpressure effects generated by a confined explosion and their limitations.This document does cover the modeling of the unconfined explosion phenomenon, which is addressed in the Ω32-UVCE report.
