    Air quality: the Institute is the new co-leader of the Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling (TFIAM)

    The Task Force on Integrated Assessment Modelling (TFIAM) is a group of international scientific experts from the Air Convention* that operates on behalf of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). For some twenty years, Ineris has acted as the French liaison body for the Ministry of Ecological Transition (Air Quality Unit). It is now co-chairing the group.

    Industrial systems using hydrogen as an energy source: new IECEx certification under development

    In late 2022, a new standard was published under the IECEx international certification scheme for electrical and non-electrical devices installed in explosive atmospheres, for the certification of industrial systems using hydrogen as an energy source (IECEx OD 290). It specifies the safety requirements for devices, components and systems, including hydrogen distribution stations for businesses and individuals.

    Ineris and CNETE sign a Franco-Canadian partnership agreement

    This Friday, 7 April 2023, Ineris and the National Centre for Electrochemistry and Environmental Technologies (Centre National en Electrochimie et en Technologies Environmentales – CNETE) signed a framework partnership agreement for a period of five years. Building on their complementarities in the field of safe, clean technologies applied in particular to bioprocesses and electrochemistry, the French institute and the Canadian research centre have decided to collaborate in order to share their know-how and skills, ensure the complementarity of their respective test resources and more generally develop new approaches to the sustainable development of technologies applied to the energy transition and the circular economy.

    The Institute’s toxicological platform has obtained the GIS IBiSA certification

    In the autumn of 2022, Ineris welcomed representatives from the scientific committee of the scientific interest group for infrastructure in biology, health and agronomy (Groupement d’intérêt scientifique des infrastructures en biologie santé et agronomie – GIS IBiSA) This visit was part of an application for certification of its toxicology platform following a call focused on the theme of the exposome. This was a successful application that led to certification of the platform at the end of 2022.
