Safety barriers

In France, since the enactment of the decree of July 30, 2003, operators of controlled facilities, must demonstrate the risk management capabilities of their facilities. Evaluation of safety barriers is an example of a safety improvement process or hazard study.

This expertise relies on studies and research conducted on industrial safety, multidisciplinary technical skills combined with knowledge of human and organizational factors and accessing reliable means of experimentation such as its “Sensor Laboratory.” Using these resources, Ineris can test, determine and characterize the performance of safety fire and gas sensors, safety instrumentation systemsand explosion protection systems (explosimeters).
