As well as their obligation to inform, brands must adapt to this new attitude. Ineris is one of the partners of the LIFE AskReach project, which is developing the Scan4Chem mobile application. This application enables consumers to screen everyday objects and find out whether or not they contain substances of very high concern (SVHC), which is likely to guide their consumption choices. At this stage, Ineris is asking brands to volunteer to enter their products into the database and expand the information available to consumers.<br /> Mon, 20 Jul 2020 12:34:52 +0200 http://www.ineris.fr/en/ineris/news/svhc-call-companies-list-their-products Support to the World Bank concerning air quality: webinar for the implementation of fine particulate matter monitoring in Cairo, Egypt http://www.ineris.fr/en/ineris/news/support-world-bank-concerning-air-quality-webinar-implementation-fine-particulate Ineris has recently organised two sessions of theoretical training on the subject of a better understanding of the sources of atmospheric pollution in Cairo, based on an analysis of the chemical composition of particulate matter. They brought together around thirty Egyptian participants, as well as our partners from the World Bank and the Cyprus Institute, by videoconference. As a result of the restrictions being imposed, there has been a fall in economic activity, and therefore a sharp drop in air-pollutant emissions from road traffic and industries. In fact, concentrations of nitrogen dioxide (NO2), one of the main tracers for these activities, in the ambient air of France’s major cities only reached half their expected levels.
