Strong foundations in Hauts-de-France

Ineris and the Laboratory of Sciences of Climate and the Environment (LSCE, CNRS-CEA-UVSQ) organised the third international campaign for inter-comparison of Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitors (ACSM) in their capacity as members of the European Aerosol Chemical Monitor Calibration Centre (ACMCC).

At its Verneuil-en-Halatte site, the Institute hosted a delegation of representatives from the region and from Hauts-de-France research bodies (IFSTTAR, IFREMER, ANSES, ONERA, Inserm) for a day of discussions and visits of the various facilities and laboratories.

On 26 November 2018, Andra and Ineris signed a new five-year partnership agreement, extending the scientific collaboration that has been in place since 2001.

From 12 to 23 November 2018, Ineris, as part of its activities with Aquaref (National Reference Laboratory for Water Monitoring), held awareness days in Martinique and French Guiana with a view to applying the RSDE (Research for Dangerous Substances in Water) recommendations to waste water processing plants in overseas departments and regions (DROM).

The results of the first French national field evaluation of sensors for air quality monitoring based on fixed measurements, have been published. This work has been carried out by Ineris and the Institut Mines Télécom Lille Douai (IMT Lille Douai) as part of the Central Laboratory for Air Quality Monitoring (LCSQA).

Ineris and RIVM, the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, renewed their collaboration by signing a new agreement on 7 November 2018.

From 15 to 26 October, the Institute organised tests to compare methods of measuring ammonia and formaldehyde emissions.
These tests were organised as part of the European IMPRESS 2 project which involves French, Italian and Danish teams. They represent a major issue for European standards authorities.

The Institute’s scientific publications are accessible via the HAL-Ineris digital platform for storage and consultation which ensures substantial visibility at an international level.
