From 12 to 23 November 2018, Ineris, as part of its activities with Aquaref (National Reference Laboratory for Water Monitoring), held awareness days in Martinique and French Guiana with a view to applying the RSDE (Research for Dangerous Substances in Water) recommendations to waste water processing plants in overseas departments and regions (DROM).

The results of the first French national field evaluation of sensors for air quality monitoring based on fixed measurements, have been published. This work has been carried out by Ineris and the Institut Mines Télécom Lille Douai (IMT Lille Douai) as part of the Central Laboratory for Air Quality Monitoring (LCSQA).

Ineris and RIVM, the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, renewed their collaboration by signing a new agreement on 7 November 2018.

From 15 to 26 October, the Institute organised tests to compare methods of measuring ammonia and formaldehyde emissions.
These tests were organised as part of the European IMPRESS 2 project which involves French, Italian and Danish teams. They represent a major issue for European standards authorities.

The Institute’s scientific publications are accessible via the HAL-Ineris digital platform for storage and consultation which ensures substantial visibility at an international level.

Ineris is participating in a study, with the French Geological Survey (BRGM) and Cerema, to improve knowledge of the risk of land movement, or the “large-scale crumbling”, of the cliff beneath the Bonifacio citadel.

Ineris and Cerema, with the support of the Ministry for Ecological and Inclusive Transition and Seine and Marne General Council, are preparing an observation and instrumental surveillance project for the old chalk quarry in Château-Landon (Seine et Marne).

Better information about the chemicals present in everyday items (toys, shoes, clothes, electronic devices, furniture, etc.) concerns everyone, and lies at the heart of LIFE AskREACH. The objective of this European project is to provide information to consumers about the chemicals present in items. To achieve this, the intention is to release a smartphone application to which everyone can contribute by replying to two online surveys.
