On 4 April in Nancy, the Institute took part in the first Technical Workshop for the DEEPSURF project, which was launched in November 2018 as part of the I-SITE LUE programme.

On 17 April in Casablanca (Morocco), a partnership agreement was signed between Ineris formation, a subsidiary of Ineris, the Fédération de la Chimie et de la Parachimie (FCP) and the Centre des Services de la Chimie (CSC) in Morocco.

The Institute participated in the launch of CITYAir on 9 April this year in Ankara, Turkey, in the presence of senior officials from the Turkish Ministry of the Environment, the European Commission and the ambassadors of the countries involved in the consortium. The purpose of this European Commission-funded project is to improve air quality in Turkey, in particular by transferring and applying the knowledge acquired by the European Union in matters of ambient air quality.

With the aim of prohibiting the use of bisphenol A in thermal papers with effect from 2 January 2020, the Belgian public authorities, in collaboration with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), organised a meeting in Brussels on 26 March to discuss the replacement of bisphenol A (BPA) in thermal papers.

On 14 March 2019, Mr Pascal Hector, the Minister Plenipotentiary at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, visited the GRHYD demonstrator at Cappelle La Grande (59).

On 14 March 2019 the French Committee on Rock Mechanics (CFMR) organised a technical meeting in Paris on the topic of induced seismicity.

Elicited for an assessment of Japanese practices on classifying ATEX zones, the Institute received a delegation of Japanese experts from 3 research bodies: “The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology,” “National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health” and “Research Institute of Science and Sustainability.”

Ineris, GeoRessources and the French National Radioactive Waste Agency are bringing together about one hundred researchers and international experts to provide an overview on research in the domain of digital geo-environmental and geo-mechanical modelling and its application to underground and surface projects.
