The public-private PEPPER platform (public-private platform for the pre-validation of testing methods on endocrine disruptors) is the result of a project led by Ineris and has just been created. Its objective is to organise the pre-validation of methods for characterising endocrine disruptors.

Ineris (the French National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks) is a partner of the RISSC project, the objective of which is to improve and provide shared tools dealing with safety and town and country planning in order to manage risks caused by underground cavities of anthropogenic (quarries, etc.) and natural (karsts) origin on a cross-border scale (France/Belgium, Hauts-de-France/Wallonia).

At the end of October, Ineris Formation, training subsidiary of Ineris, trained 8 Spanish professionals from SGS, the world leader in inspection, control, analysis and certification.

The launch meeting for the European SUMAD project (Sustainable Use of Mining Waste Dumps) was held on 2 and 3 October 2019, in Nottingham (United Kingdom). Ineris is a partner.

The public authorities called upon the Institute to provide technical support to help manage the accident that occurred on Thursday 26 September at the Lubrizol site in Rouen, classified as a Seveso high-threshold installation.

In September 2019, Ineris performed a LiDar 3D survey of the shores of the artificial Most lake (Czech Republic). Seventy-five metres deep, this lake was created by flooding an old open-pit lignite mine.

The French National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks (INERIS), as part of its work for the French Central Laboratory for Monitoring Air Quality (LCSQA), is main co-author of the new version of the European guide on the ranking of sources of atmospheric pollution based on measurements of ambient air.

The launch meeting for the European RAFF (Risk Assessment of Final pits during Flooding) Project, in which the French National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks (INERIS) is participating, was recently held in Poland.

Ineris has developed the “BPA Free” and “No phenols added” certification reference frame awarded to manufacturers, converters and users of thermal papers.

Within the French delegation, the institute attended the general meeting of Technical Committee 265 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), held in Casper, Wyoming (United States).
