Final meeting of BREF Incineration

The Institute visited Seville this week, for the final meeting of the "BREF Incineration", at the European Office for the Prevention and Reduction of Pollution which is responsible for the preparation and revision of BREFs, in accordance with the IED Directive.

This meeting brought together all stakeholders in the sector (more than 95 experts from 13 member states, about fifteen professional organizations and NGOs, 2 representatives of the Ministry of Ecological and Collective Transition) and an expert from Ineris.

The BREFs are reference documents that describe the Best Available Techniques used by each industry sector and associated emission levels.
