On June 17 and 18, INERIS will participate in the annual meeting of CEN TC 264 Air Quality, organized by AFNOR in St-Denis (93).

CEN TC 264 is responsible for standardizing methods for characterizing the quality of emissions, ambient air, indoor air, gases in and from the soil, and deposits, in particular methods for measuring air pollutants (e.g., particles, gases, odors, microorganisms), meteorological parameters, and methods for determining the effectiveness of gas purification systems.

Ineris contributes to the work of CEN TC 264 on aspects of atmospheric emissions and ambient air characterization (via the LCSQA*). The annual meeting provides an opportunity to review ongoing work and current topics.

(*) Designated by the Ministry of the Environment, the Central Air Quality Laboratory (LCSQA) is the reference body responsible for the technical coordination of air quality monitoring in France. Since 1991, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Mines-Telecom Nord Europe (IMT Nord Europe), the National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks (Ineris) and the National Metrology and Testing Laboratory (LNE) have been working together to provide technical coordination for the air quality monitoring system in France.
