ATEX – European Regulation

 

The ATEX regulation is applicable the whole European Union since the 1st July 2003
This regulation is based on two European directives:

  • Directive 1999/92/EC aims at the improvement of the health and the safety of the workers exposed to the risks of the explosive atmospheres.
  • Directive 2014/34/EU (which replaces Directive 94/9/EC) which defines the Health and Safety requirement for equipment putted on the market intended for use in or related to explosive atmosphere

In order to help the users to put in place the ATEX regulation INERIS offers the following services:

>> Equipment certification according to Directive 2014/34/EU as Notified Body

 

>> Certification of the nonelectric products not having any own source of ignition according to ELECTROSTATIC-INERIS scheme (French)

 

>> Certification of the ATEX equipment repairers (French) according to Saqr-ATEX scheme (French)
 

>> Certification of the company and the persons involved in the design, realisation and/or maintenance of installation of ATEX equipment according Ism-ATEX scheme (French)
